The mBox5 is a high-performance HVAC controller in the Messana Controls BLACK SERIES, our simple one-box solution for controlling hydronic systems with a focus on radiant cooling and heating applications. It serves up to 5 zones and is typically installed in the mechanical room, acting as both the main controller and zoning module.

It’s a capable guardian of your comfort and energy efficiency, efficiently controlling various hydronic distribution terminals. These include ceiling panels, radiant floors, and hydronic fan coils, all with precision and flexibility.

The mBox5 boasts advanced proprietary logic, optimizing Indoor Air Quality (IAQ), managing humidity, and providing natural enthalpy ventilation. It excels in 2-pipe hydronic systems, expertly regulating energy flow from sources like heat pumps, chillers, and boilers. It ensures multi-zone comfort, handling tasks such as buffer tank temperature control, intelligent heating and cooling changeovers, circulator pump activation, and precise regulation of radiant fluid temperature through a 3-way mixing valve. It can also manage Messana Air Treatment Units (ATUs) and ERV/HRV units for impeccable Indoor Air Quality.
